HDL Helped Decathlon Korea Save Energy

Decathlon is a French sporting goods retailer with over 1,400 stores in 45 countries，which can be regarded as the largest sporting goods retailer in the world.The first Decathlon in Korea is in Songdo Inchon with two floors including a large sales area and wide experience space.

People who have been to Decathlon might have a feeling that it is a sporting super market and is always crowded. It has been doing great as a sporting retailer driving the trend of sports and fashion. However, it couldn’t get rid of the huge cost on stores behind the revenue like other big brands.

Since the cost and energy can be saved, Decathlon Korea decided to use HDL automation system on their lighting which is the second largest electricity consumption following air conditioning. HDL team helps Decathlon Korea install the lighting control system so that staffs have no need to walk to different areas just for turning off/on the light. The lights of each area in Decathlon store will be easily controlled with HDL control panels, which turns out to be energy saving and efficient.

Besides, time schedule is used for controlling the lights automatically by doing nothing. Decathlon has become the landmark of Songdo area since it is open and it is always crowded just like the other Decathlon stores.
